The picture above is from the original Friday afternoon meeting; those below show Mebos over the years, most likely taken on Saturday nights or at Dr. Busker gigs.
Many years ago when the internet was young, late in the last century (I just love saying that), the Great Dorset Steam Fair had a 'message board' linked to its web site. This enabled members to post a short text message which could be answered by other members of the board. Because we were all mechanics (of various skills) or simply liked machinery and were connected through the MEssage BOard I coined the name MeBo Mechanics . Eventually we arranged a meeting at GDSF in the Real Ale Tent wearing Tee shirts emblazoned "Mebo Mechanics on the web" (I still have mine) and those meetings became something of an annual event.
Dr Busker enjoyed getting out and about to meet friends and fans, He is pictured here visiting a couple of mebos who were exhibiting a partly renovated vintage caravan.
